Anna Shaw - Founder
My name is Anna, and several years ago, as an expectant mother for the first
time. I thought I had finally found the path that my family and I would follow
for the rest of our lives. Like countless other women in the UK and the rest of
the world, the jigsaw of a wonderful husband the begining of a great career,
the start of our family was slotting into place.
However a gang of strangers decided that they would end that for us. I was
refused a homebirth and gave ill-informed consent to a caesarian with
horrifying irreversible consequences.
We have set up this site to share my story, and the stories of other women who
have been through the ordeal of unnecessary, unwanted, un-consented to and
radical surgery in the most horrific and invasive ways. I lost my womb, and my
chance to carry more children and have the experience of giving birth to loved
and wanted children.
I also lost the quality of life most women of my age can assume.
I do not intend for this site to frighten women having children, but rather to
expose a dreadful medical practise that continues to this day. Please spend
some time here and read the stories we have to share. Be both shocked and
empowed - shocked by a medical industry that can do such things, and empowered
to help change your world for women everywhere.
If this has happened to you contact us. We can not find the true numbers unless
you come forward. The hospitals are hiding the statistics,
the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
are not compiling the statistics, neither is anyone else. The only way is for
you to come forward. If this was only ever done in genune cases, don't you
think this would be all in the open? We feel that if we can do this, the media
and other areas will start taking it a little more seriously. One of the first
questions they ask is, how many more people we know. By doing this, we can help
others.
Your feedback is very important to us. Please add your comments to our
guestbook
You can read my account for more details of what
happened to me.
